Q: Does this come with the an installation kit to install it?
Yes, This kit includes gaskets and clamps. It uses your existing nuts and bolts
Q: What is difference between a Exhaust Header and OEM Exhaust Manifold?
Headers typically refer to an aftermarket exhaust manifold. They are designed with performance in mind. Designed to increase both HP and Torque. They feature larger diameter piping and better bends to give better air flow through the exhaust. Headers are also made with lighter steel where as the original manifolds are typically iron. Headers give each cylinder its own pipe which prevents unwanted backpressure.
Q: Is this exhaust street legal in California or other states with strict emissions laws?
It depends. If your vehicle 1975 or older they are ok. If they are for a vehicle 1976 or newer then the exhaust headers can only be used for off-road use only and is not street legal in states with strict emissions regulations such as California. Please check local laws before installing if you're planning to use it on public roads.
Q: Will this exhaust fit my car?
Yes, But it can vary greatly based on the engine, transmission, wether it has A/C, Power Steering. Please see the fitment chart above to confirm fitment.
Q: Will this make my car louder?
Headers dont effect the loudness of the vehicle too much. It will create a deeper tone. Most of the sound of the exhaust is controlled by the muffler, resonator and catalytic converter.
Q: What is the difference between shorty, mid length and long tube headers?
This refers to the length of the piping on the header. Shorty headers typically provide better low end torque and are easier to install. Long tube headers give more high RPM HP gains but can be harder to install and can effect emissions depending on your state. Mid length headers are an in-between.
